Today and tomorrow I have a number of patient appointments by video and phone, which has structured our days.
Fortunately, today was sunny and mild, a pleasant change from yesterday (and probably tomorrow). So at lunchtime we walked from our hotel down to the wharf, discovering that we're accidentally in a trendy area with old port buildings transformed into cafes, bars and shops. After a waterfront lunch we walked east towards the mouth of the Hunter River, turning back when we got to Nobby's Beach.
Newcastle has proved to be smarter and much more attractive than we expected. In the afternoon I had a couple more patients then we walked out where the sun was setting, boats racing in the Basin, and found a Thai restaurant for dinner.
