Innamincka

453km
We set off early. Our budget accommodation didn't encourage us to linger.
The Roads to Mount Hopeless took us km north from Arkaroola to the Strzelecki Track. It was pretty rocky and with frequent cattle grids and dips for water courses, but not terrible and we saw kangaroos, emus and goats. Running up the east of the northern Flinders there were constant saw-toothed mountains on our left.
The Track was wider, more open and most more boring than expected. There were endless corrugations until we reached the smooth, newly sealed sections that account for maybe half the road. We stopped for a quick lunch near a gas we'll late in the trip and we're at Innamincka by 2pm.

Somewhere on the Strzelecki

It's really just the pub, units rented by the pub, and a trading post, so nothing to do.
Dinner was almost deserted. Apparently it's the end of their season, the start of the wet season, which is why they had no beer on tap. So we retired early, watched a recorded TV show but did go out to see the stars.
