Byron Bay

70km driven.
Fortunately, but also frustratingly, it wasn't raining and there was blue sky this morning. We ambled around a bit but the forest and all the paths were still pretty wet and muddy. At least the creek level was much lower, so it was easier to drive out.

Hammocks across the creek

For lack of better ideas we drove straight to Byron Bay and as we had the codes we could get into our house a bit early. Lynn and I settled in, read, had lunch, then walked to the main street and down to the beach. The main street is mostly gelati shops, cafes and surfwear as you get close to the water. There were lots of people on and above the beach and we sat for a while listening to a band play before walking back.

We expect Niki, Teresa, and Teresa's father Tony to get here around 9pm.
